Zara Lily McDermott is an illustrator and artist based in Devon. Working across illustration, print, editorial and design, she creates colourful, characterful artworks inspired by the natural world and human experience, with a particular interest in themes of community, wellbeing and femininity. A graduate of Arts University Plymouth, McDermott was named one of the university’s Ones to Watch in 2024 and received the D&AD New Blood Best in Show award. Alongside her illustration practice, she is the co-founder of Mishmash magazine, an independent publication celebrating creative voices in Plymouth.
