Unglazed on the outside in warm, sandy-textured stoneware clay or beautiful porcelain, these are glazed inside in lustrous glazes for example a classic light blue celadon, glowing speckled grey-blue celadon, a darkly glossy tenmoku or a creamy shino with flashes of orange around the edges.
