After twenty years of self-taught pottery, in 2015 Lucy trained at Hilderstone in Kent, at St Faith’s in Maidstone, Morley College in London and finally at the Leach Pottery Adult Education Programme. She then set up her studio and began making ceramics full time. Since then she has shown her work at a variety of galleries including Hauser & Wirth Bruton, the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, the Turner Contemporary in Margate, Frank Whitstable and the Leach Pottery, St Ives. While making work for Toast, her pottery was featured in many publications for example Homes and Gardens, Country Living, Elle Decoration and Modern Rustic. Her work has been bought by many private collectors. Most recently she has returned to her use skills from her previous career of teaching, by delivering workshops as a visiting tutor at the Leach Pottery.
