A medium-sized teapot with cane handle, suitable for two large mugs or four cups of tea. 

The teapot is usually glazed with glossy dark brown-black tenmoku, speckled soft-grey celadon, creamy shino with flashes of orange, or a soft green, although occasionally smaller teapots are glazed with brighter colours.
