25cm x 25cm Screenprint Ceramicist Lucy Rutter and painter / printmaker Guy Rutter have produced a body of work together. Their pieces circle around each other, sharing concerns with formal elements and colour combinations. Guy Rutter explores abstract forms and compositions, impressions of shapes from his daily life. Rutter’s monoprints are intuitive; his silkscreen prints reflect a more fixed idea and process, often developed from paintings. While studying in Cornwall, he drew inspiration from the St. Ives painters of the 20th century. Rutter graduated from Falmouth College of Art in 1984 and then studied Scene Painting at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He has long balanced his own studio with Scene Painting, exhibiting at the Royal Academy Summer Show 2024, and at the London Original Print Fair 2025.
