Oil on Linen 13”x16” Bo Hilton is a painter based in Penzance, Cornwall. He studied for an MA in Fine Art at Brighton Polytechnic and has developed a practice that explores the conceptual and poetic possibilities of painting. Working through a process of layering, removing and reapplying paint, his works draw on memory, place and personal experience, often beginning with remembered images or moments before evolving into more abstract compositions. His paintings are characterised by subtle colour relationships, balanced forms and an interest in how colour, pattern and composition can create an emotional and contemplative space for the viewer.
