Originally made as part of her 2025 exhibition \u003cem\u003eSoft Ruins\u003c\/em\u003e, the monoprints feature hairy, drippy, lozenge-shaped forms that hover between abstraction and something more bodily or animal, exploring landscape, material and the body.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe small sculptural objects share something of the strange, blobby and drippy quality of the forms within the prints. They have emerged through the process of making other sculptures, using clay removed while hollowing out larger forms, which is then worked and burnished once the material has become too dry to use in a conventional way. Mahoney reworks this material, allowing these smaller forms to develop through play, handling and experimentation.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAlice Mahoney is a Cornwall-based multidisciplinary artist working across sculpture, ceramics, sound, film, painting and printmaking. Her practice explores the material, ecological and affective dimensions of landscape, with a particular interest in post-industrial environments, local folklore and embodied experiences of place.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHer work is process-led and experimental, often incorporating unconventional and repurposed materials.
